Changes to Facebook, our new offers and promotions and a new way for us to interact with you.

As most people are aware when viewing your Facebook newsfeed you don’t see every friends post or every post from Facebook pages that you have liked and followed. The content also changes depending on what device you use to access Facebook. So for example if I update my personal Facebook status my wife might see it on her laptop but not on her tablet or her phone or even not see it at all. This is also the case with Facebook business pages. Up until yesterday industry insiders estimated that under 3% of the people who have liked and followed a Facebook business page would see any new status updates. Facebook limit this to ensure increased revenue from businesses paying to boost posts and because of the sheer volume of posts they need some way of restricting what appears in your newsfeed or there service would be unusable. Yesterday Facebook pushed out a new update which will again make further changes to what you see in your newsfeed and further restrict what you see in terms of posts from business pages you have liked and followed as well as effecting posts you can see from your friends. As yet no one knows the impact this may have but it has left us considering how we interact on Facebook.

For a trial period we have decided to open a group on Facebook that you can join by clicking here.

If you are a member of our new Facebook group you will be able to see anything posted there. Going forward the new group is where we will share exclusive offers and promotions. We also want to use the group to have more interaction around weddings in Northern Ireland as current Facebook Wedding groups just tend to be a constant stream of adverts from wedding vendors with very little discussion taking place. If you are planning on getting married in Northern Ireland or you are a wedding vendor feel free to join the group and take part.
