Your Belfast Wedding Photography Questions Answered
Where can our guests park for a Belfast City Hall wedding?
The Chichester Street and Donegall Square car parks are both a short walk from City Hall and tend to be the easiest options on the day. If you let us know your ceremony time we are happy to pass on a few suggestions to your guests so nobody is rushing in at the last minute.
Do you need a permit to photograph at Titanic Belfast?
The venue itself handles any permissions needed for photography inside as part of your booking with them, so this is one less thing for you to think about. We simply liaise with their team on the day to make sure we know where we can and cannot go.
What happens if it rains on our Belfast wedding day?
We always plan for it. Belfast has plenty of beautiful indoor backdrops, from the Titanic building's architecture to hotel interiors like the Merchant, so a wet day never has to mean flat photos. We also keep a shortlist of covered spots near most of the city's venues for a quick change of plan.
What is the best time of day for photos at Belfast Castle?
Late afternoon light on the slopes of Cave Hill is hard to beat, it catches the turrets beautifully and gives us soft, flattering light for your portraits. If your ceremony allows any flexibility on timing we are always happy to talk through what would work best for your day.
How long should we allow for photos in Belfast city centre?
For a full couple portrait session around spots like the Cathedral Quarter or the Grand Staircase we would suggest around 45 minutes to an hour. It never feels rushed, we just want enough time to move between a couple of locations without eating into your reception.
Can you photograph a civil ceremony at Belfast City Hall?
Yes, we photograph civil ceremonies at City Hall regularly and know the layout of the Council Chamber and the Rotunda well. We arrive early to check the light and find the best angle for your vows before your guests are even seated.
Do you photograph confetti exits in Belfast city centre?
We do, and they make for some of our favourite shots of the day. A few venues have their own rules on confetti so we always check in advance and let you know what is allowed before the day itself.
How far in advance should we book you for a Belfast wedding?
