Titanic Hotel Belfast Wedding | Charlotte + Harry

Charlotte and Harry got married on the 16th of September in the Church of the Nazarene in Carrickfergus, with their wedding reception taking place at the Titanic Hotel Belfast.

These guys met through their respective church’s and have been inseparable ever since. When they first met Harry was living in Scotland but has been living in Northern Ireland since the start of the new year. He told us that while he misses his family and friends he is now firmly settled and very happy in his new adopted country.

On the morning of the wedding, we met up with Charlotte at her mum and dad’s home in Carrickfergus. It was a very chilled morning with no sign of any pre wedding nerves at all from Charlotte and the girls, although we think her dad and twin brothers were a little nervous about wearing kilts for the first time.

We met up with a similarly relaxed Harry at the church just before the ceremony. Harry’s brother who was also one of his groomsmen performed the ceremony adding a nice personal touch to the day. Charlotte had told us that she fully expected Harry to shed a few tears and off course he did as she was coming up the aisle.

After the ceremony and on our way to the hotel, we stopped off at Mauds Ice Creams in Carrickfergus which is a big favourite of Charlotte and Harry’s. Harry drove himself so as not to be parted from his beautiful vintage Mercedes 190.

Titanic quarter is always an interesting place to take photographs, as wedding photographers in Belfast it is somewhere we visit a lot. With Titanic quarter providing the perfect backdrop their was no need to stop of anywhere else along the way. It was quite a windy day and the sun was very harsh and high in the sky which isn’t the best conditions for photography but we made the best of it by mostly making use of the back of the main Titanic building which offered a little more shade for Charlotte and Harry’s photographs.

Once back inside it was time for the speeches and Harry got a bit emotional during his. Star of the show though was Charlotte’s grandad who got a bit emotional himself when he spoke about how proud he was of them both.

After dinner Charlotte and Harry braved the cold Belfast evening to allow us to shoot some stuff around the front of the Titanic building, with Terry Bradley’s awesome street art providing an interesting backdrop.

Back inside it was time for the dancing. Harry told us beforehand that in Scotland the first dance involves all of the wedding party so him and Charlotte only shared less than a minute on the dance floor before being joined by everyone else.
