Husband and wife team

Antrim wedding photographers who keep it real and relaxed

We photograph weddings in Antrim, Templepatrick and Ballyclare, and we have worked at venues including the Dunadry Hotel, the Dunsilly Hotel, the Kingfisher Country Estate (formerly the Hilton Templepatrick), The Rabbit Hotel and Breckenhill. When we arrive we already know the grounds, the light at different times of day and the quiet corners that make the best photographs. That local knowledge means you never have to worry about where to stand or what to do.

You will spend more time with your photographer than with almost anyone else on the day, so personality matters. We keep things calm and unposed, and we make you feel at ease, because that is when natural, relaxed photographs happen. Of you, your family and your friends.

We are a husband and wife team and we only work together, so every couple has two photographers and nothing is missed. Getting married somewhere else in the county? We are award winning Northern Ireland wedding photographers and we are happy to travel.

Natural photographs, two photographers, no stiff posing.

Where we photograph

Antrim, Templepatrick and Ballyclare wedding venues

We have photographed weddings at venues right across this part of County Antrim, from historic hotels to country estates, so we know where the light is best and where the quiet corners are.

Antrim

Dunadry Hotel and Gardens

A former paper mill dating back to the 1670s, with a river walk, gardens and peacocks, and wedding spaces including the Grand Ballroom and the River Suite.

Antrim

Dunsilly Hotel

A 40 bedroom hotel where the Laburnum Suite is licensed for civil ceremonies and holds up to 130 guests, with a private patio garden for outdoor ceremonies.

Templepatrick

Kingfisher Country Estate

Formerly the Hilton Templepatrick, set in 220 acres of wooded parkland on the banks of the Six Mile Water, with lakes, gardens and outdoor ceremonies.

Templepatrick

The Rabbit Hotel

Formerly the Templeton Hotel, a laid back sister property to Galgorm, about 20 minutes from Belfast and 10 minutes from the airport.

Ballyclare

Breckenhill

Gardens, lawns and woodland with a lake, flexible indoor and outdoor ceremony options and two barns, plus an avenue of trees that is one of our favourite places for portraits.

Getting married somewhere else in County Antrim, or further away? We photograph weddings all over Northern Ireland, so just get in touch and tell us your venue.

Husband and wife team

Two photographers, one team who know each other inside out

We are Tommy and Laurene, and we have photographed weddings together since 2014. After all these years we can read each other across a room without saying a word, which means two perspectives on your Antrim wedding and a team that works as one.

The two people you chat to when you first get in touch are the two people who turn up on your wedding day. Whether you are marrying at the Dunadry Hotel, the Dunsilly Hotel or Breckenhill, there is never a second shooter you have never heard of, and never a handover to someone else.

One of us with you

We photograph your first look at each other and your portraits, always in a natural, unposed way.

One of us with everyone else

While one of us is with you, the other is watching your partner's reaction, your parents and your guests, which is where so many of the best moments happen.

Every angle covered

Two views of the same moment, from the aisle to the speeches, means a fuller story of your day when your gallery arrives.

How we spend your day

Mostly quietly watching

Most of your day is spent capturing it as it happens, and only a small part is spent borrowing you away from your guests. Here is roughly how we split a full day of documentary wedding photography.

90%Capturing the day as it happens

From the morning to the dancing, no staging, no interrupting and no asking anyone to do that hug again. Two of us means we catch the moments you see and plenty of the ones you miss.

5%Creative portraits

The only time we borrow you. Thirty minutes, a short walk and a bit of good light is all it takes, with no stiff posing, just the two of you getting a breather together.

5%Relaxed group shots

Quick, organised and painless. We keep group photos moving so everyone important is in the gallery and back with the guests before they know it.

Kind words

What our couples say

Absolutely amazing service

Absolutely amazing service. Our photographs told the whole story of our day, they were natural, modern and unique and so flattering -from a bride who doesn’t like getting her photo taken. A lovely couple themselves, they keep you relaxed and laughing throughout and even helped make tea and keep my five year old in check.

Photo locations

The best places for wedding photos in Antrim

Antrim, Templepatrick and Ballyclare give you historic gardens, the shore of Lough Neagh and country estate grounds, all within a short drive of each other. Here are some of the places we love to take our couples.

Antrim

Antrim Castle Gardens

Historic gardens and grounds around Clotworthy House in the middle of Antrim, with formal garden spaces including the Parterre. Permission is needed for wedding photography here, so we plan it with you in advance.

Antrim

Lough Shore Park

An open park on the shore of Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake in the British Isles, with a riverside walk that leads to Antrim Castle Gardens. Plenty of space for relaxed, natural portraits and a wee walk together.

Antrim

Dunadry Hotel river walk and gardens

Grounds right at the hotel with a river walk, gardens and peacocks, so your portraits are minutes from your guests and your drinks.

Ballyclare

Breckenhill lake and avenue of trees

Lawns, woodland and a lake, plus an avenue of trees that is one of our favourite places for portraits anywhere in the area.

Photography at Breckenhill

Access rules, permits and opening times can change, so please check with each location before you plan around it. We will talk through your options and your timings when you get in touch.

Your wedding day

What it is like having us at your Antrim wedding

Many couples tell us they feel nervous about being photographed. We understand, and that is exactly why we keep things relaxed. You get on with celebrating, and we quietly capture the story unfolding around you.

Natural photographs, two photographers, no stiff posing.

We blend in and stay quiet

You will not be herded around or told to do that again. We work around you, so your day feels like your day and not a photo shoot.

You stay with your guests

Group photographs are quick and organised, so you are back with your family and friends and enjoying the drinks reception as soon as possible.

A short break for portraits

About thirty minutes, a short walk and some good light is all we need. There is no stiff posing, just the two of you taking a breather together.

Frequently asked questions

Your Antrim wedding photography questions answered

The things couples ask us most about wedding photography in Antrim, Templepatrick and Ballyclare. If yours is not here, send us a message or have a look at our wedding FAQ.

How much does an Antrim wedding photographer cost?

Our wedding collections start at £1,375 for half day coverage and go up to £2,675 for a full day with albums and an engagement session, and both Tommy and Laurene photograph every wedding. You can see exactly what is in each one in the packages above or on our pricing page. If you would like a quote for your date, message us on WhatsApp.

Which Antrim, Templepatrick and Ballyclare wedding venues do you work at?

We have photographed weddings at the Dunadry Hotel, the Dunsilly Hotel, the Kingfisher Country Estate (formerly the Hilton Templepatrick), The Rabbit Hotel and Breckenhill. We also love working at new venues, so if yours is not on the list, we would be happy to photograph your wedding wherever you choose.

Where are the best places for wedding photos in Antrim?

It depends on your ceremony and your timings. Antrim Castle Gardens are lovely, Lough Shore Park gives you open water on the edge of Lough Neagh, and the river walk and gardens at the Dunadry Hotel and the lake and avenue of trees at Breckenhill are favourites of ours. Some locations need permission, so we talk it through with you in advance.

Do I need two photographers for my Antrim wedding?

You do not have to choose, because both Tommy and Laurene photograph every wedding. While one of us photographs you, the other is watching your partner's reaction and your guests. Those are the moments couples treasure most, and they are only possible with two photographers.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

Rain is part of life in Northern Ireland, so we always plan for it. Many of our favourite photographs were taken under cloud, and we will help you find sheltered spots at your venue for portraits, whatever the weather does.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as your date is confirmed. Popular dates, especially Fridays and Saturdays in summer, can fill up a long way in advance, though we do sometimes have last minute availability. Send us a quick message on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight away if we are free.

Will you photograph a small or micro wedding in Antrim?

Absolutely. We love small weddings, from a ceremony with just the two of you and two witnesses to a day with close family. Have a look at our micro wedding packages.

Do you photograph weddings outside Antrim?

Yes. We photograph weddings all over Northern Ireland and Ireland, so if your venue is somewhere else, get in touch and tell us where. A travel supplement applies to venues outside Northern Ireland.

When will we get our photographs?

Your gallery is delivered within six weeks of your wedding, with high resolution downloads and a print shop. If you cannot wait, our fast edit add on guarantees your photos within 10 days for an extra £400.

Can we get married at Antrim Castle Gardens?

Antrim Castle Gardens and Clotworthy House is an approved venue for civil ceremonies, subject to a registrar being available, so check with the Antrim registrar when you book your date. Rules can change, and we will talk you through anything that affects your photographs when you enquire.
