The venue has huge historic significance within Northern Ireland.
They have a dedicated rooms for wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions so you can have both your ceremony and reception at the venue.
Belfast Castle has its own grounds which are suitable for wedding photography which means you may not need to travel elsewhere for photographs.
With being close to Belfast city centre transport and accommodation are easy to find.

What are the disadvantages of Belfast Castle for a wedding?
Being owned and operated by Belfast council means that they are very strict and have several rules that must be followed, some of them make no sense, but that is local government for you.
While they do have some grounds to use even during a wedding the area is very popular with tourist visitors and sometimes tourist tour buses stop to watch what is going on. Sometimes they take photos and videos of the couple and there guest, which some people don’t like.
There is no accommodation at the venue, although being close to Belfast means that this isn’t much of an issue.
