Ceremonies at Bangor Castle typically last 20 to 30 minutes. It's also worth factoring in time for the marriage licence paperwork which is usually completed just before or after the ceremony and can add an extra 15 to 20 minutes to your schedule. We recommend booking at least 2 hours of coverage to include arrivals, the ceremony itself, portraits outside the castle and in the walled gardens, and more relaxed shots in the grounds. This gives you a comfortable timeline without feeling rushed.

Absolutely. Many of our Bangor Castle couples love adding time to visit Bangor Marina for a coastal feel, or Crawfordsburn Country Park for beautiful woodland portraits. If you'd like a little more breathing room we also offer a dedicated 4 hour micro wedding package which gives you plenty of time to explore further locations without feeling rushed. You don't have to, but we genuinely recommend it if your budget allows. Rain is part of life in Northern Ireland and we're completely prepared for it. Bangor Castle has sheltered areas and covered spots around the building that work beautifully for portraits even in wet weather. Some of our most atmospheric and moody images have been taken on overcast days when the Victorian stonework really comes into its own. We always have a wet weather plan ready so you never need to worry.
