Malone Lodge Hotel Wedding | Heather & Paul
Heather & Paul got married on the 4th of November at the Malone Lodge Hotel in Belfast. The hotel is just outside the city centre and is close by to most of the city’s main attractions.
We started the morning by meeting up with Heather at her and Paul’s home just outside of Belfast, later on we were joined by Heather’s Mum and Dad. After photographing Heather and her bridesmaid getting ready we headed off to meet up with Paul and his best man who had stayed at the hotel the night before. We met up with the guys in the bridal suite which they were using to get ready for the ceremony.
The ceremony time was later than usual especially for this time of the year as Heather & Paul wanted to allow extra time for their family and friends to be able to get to Belfast.
Once the ceremony was over along with Heather & Paul we made our way to Belfast’s Botanic gardens. As it turned out we were lucky to be able to use the gardens as Heather & Paul had some difficulty booking it with Belfast council. Because of the time of the year and with the ceremony, taking place late in the afternoon there was some concern about how much light would be available but thankfully the council agreed to make an exception.
We had discussed the times with Heather & Paul on the lead up to the wedding and they had some concerns, but we were confident that even if the light was not ideal that we could work around it. As it turned out, they should not have worried, while we had a lot less time than we would normally allow for bride and groom portraits, the light was good right up until we were leaving.
