Tollymore Forest Park Engagement Photography: Kiera and Joel's Journey

Kiera & Joel recently travelled over from Birmingham for their engagement session at Tollymore Forest Park in County Down. We love being a wedding photographer in Newcastle so it was a great choice of location.

Tollymore is somewhere we haven’t been since we were young kids so it all felt very fresh and new to us. While these days Tollymore is best known for being used as a location for Game of Thrones and Dracula Untold, it’s always been a popular place for locals and tourists alike, and it’s easy to see why. With the Shimna river running through it and epic forest views, it’s a beautiful place to visit.

This was the first time we have got to meet Kiera & Joel as they both live in Birmingham, so it was nice to chat with them face to face, before we photograph their wedding later on this year. As we walked around the forest, they told us about how they first met at a wedding in Northern Ireland and how they both love to visit here as often as possible. So, it was an easy decision for them to decide to get married here themselves. Kiera & Joel chose Tollymore as the location for their engagement session after visiting the forest on another trip here a while back. It proved to be a great choice with plenty of different areas to use for photography, I am sure we will be back here again in the near future.

We loved hearing a bit more detail on their wedding plans. Kiera and Joe have chosen the Jungle N.I in Moneymore for their wedding venue. It is somewhere we haven’t worked at before so we are excited to visit there for the first time. It’s all shaping up to be a wonderful day.

The engagement session itself all went really well, we had no issues with the weather, the setting was perfect and Kiera & Joel were really good fun. We have no doubt it will be exactly the same come their wedding day!
