Belfast Wedding Photography | Malone House | Lorraine & James

Lorraine and James got married on the 22nd of September with both their wedding ceremony and reception taking place at Malone House in Belfast.

We started the morning with a trip to Lorraine’s Mum and Dad’s home in Bangor to photograph all the ladies getting ready. Everyone was in good form and couldn’t wait to get started with the rest of the day. Lorraine was very calm and collected all morning and there wasn’t any sign of pre wedding nerves.

Once everyone was ready, we made our way over to Malone House to meet up with James and his groomsmen. James looked a little more nervous than Lorraine had been during the morning but not by much. Unbelievably it took 16 years for James to pluck up the courage to ask Lorraine to become his wife, but we are sure everyone that was part of their wedding day would agree, it was well worth the wait.

The ceremony itself was beautiful, we love outdoor wedding ceremonies and the weather on the day was absolutely perfect for it with not even a hint of rain until late on in the evening and by that stage nobody was worried about it. An outdoor Malone House wedding is very special and as a Belfast wedding photographer we were delighted to be there to capture it all.

Malone House is a historic well known Belfast attraction and the grounds around out worked great for both the bit of time we had for James & Lorraine’s bride and groom portrait’s and the bridal party and family photographs we took afterwards. It was easy to see why James and Lorraine were so excited about getting married here.

Once back at the venue it was time for the speeches, Lorraine & James had their reception in the Harberton Room named after one of the families that owned Malone House. It is a nice bright and airy room which made our job much easier.

After the speeches, it was time to cut the cake and hit up the dancefloor for the first dance, Lorraine also shared a dance with her Dad. As we were leaving the dance floor was full and everyone was having a really good time.
