Since we began our journey as a photography business, we have been honoured to receive several awards. However, these particular ones hold a special place in our hearts and are the ones we are most proud to have earned.

This is the 10th anniversary of the Small Business Awards and we picked up not just 1 but 2 awards. These awards celebrate small businesses and entrepreneurs driving innovation, growth and excellence, recognising those making a meaningful impact and setting new standards within their industries.

This award we have won for an amazing 9 years running. There is no nomination process for this one. They look at all the photographers in the local area, in our case Lisburn and perform a 50 point inspection and they then award who they consider to be the best.

Now in its third year, the Northern Irish Enterprise Awards 2025 is all about celebrating the incredible businesses, individuals, and teams that are making a real difference in Northern Ireland. After being nominated for this award a panel of five professionals conducted extensive research of all nominees before making a decision.

Using an internal point scoring system, a business must have an exceptional overall quality rating to be considered for a Quality Business Award. The business must have outstanding customer reviews from more than 3 different platforms. Businesses with exceptional records spanning over multiple years will score highly. Businesses that conduct their day to day efforts with the highest integrity and have shown a continuous trend of giving back to their local community are rewarded with a Quality Business Award.

This was another award we picked up in 2024. To win this award you must first be nominated then there must be evidence of extensive expertise within a given field or discipline, dedication to customer service and client satisfaction with an ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.

We received this award in 2024. As well as looking at the photographers style and quality of work they look for those who show commitment, dedication, expertise and provide a high quality service.
Best Wedding Photography Team 2023 Northern Ireland
This is another award we received in 2023. They undertook a long and extensive research process of over 5 months in which their team of research experts built case files for all of the shortlisted parties, and acquired information taken from public sources, including online reviews, and our social media content.
Wedding photographer of the year County Antrim 2023
To win this award you have to be first be nominated to become a finalist. Once you become a finalist a series of votes are held and the judges then base their decision on the amount of votes received plus supplementary information . Supplementary information includes things like charity work etc. We have been a finalist for these awards before but 2023 is the first time we have won!

This is the 6th year that this awards scheme has been running and it is the second we have been chosen for an award having received an award from them last year as well.

LUXlife Customer Service Excellence Award 2022
Winning not just one but two awards from the same awards ceremony was very exciting for us. We put a huge amount of effort into providing a great service level for our clients so we were especially pleased that not only did we pick up an award for our wedding photography work but a separate award for the service level we have provided to our clients as well.
Northern Ireland Wedding Photographer of the Year 2022
This awards scheme is run locally. To become a finalist you must first be nominated. Once your nomination has been accepted the nominees must ask for people to vote for them. The photography businesses that receive the most amount of votes then become a finalist. The overall winner is then chosen by a team of judges at an awards ceremony in Belfast. This one came as a bit of a surprise to us, we weren’t aware that we had been nominated, so we didn’t take part in asking people to vote for us, but we were pleased that we still earned enough votes to become a finalist. We weren’t able to attend the awards ceremony itself as we only found out a week or so before that we were a finalist.

The extensive research and judging process is driven by merit meaning that awardees must demonstrate expertise within a given field, dedication to customers service and commitment to excellence and innovation. Research was centred around an in-depth evaluation of skills and services on offer and the wider market reputation of each nominee was also taken into consideration.

We were nominated for this award by a previous client. They then created a shortlist of nominees based on information they could find online. Finally we were asked to provide further details and to complete a questionnaire. All the details were then sent to the judges to make a decision.
These awards are designed to recognise businesses that are extremely successful and hard working on a local level. Judges considered whether the individual or business is providing the best product/ service in their particular sector or industry this is primarily determined by the quality, efficiency and delivery of the product/service provided. Decisions are made based on service excellence, industry recognition, employee satisfaction, marketing & branding, ethical practice and of course customer feedback.

Following our nomination acceptance, we were added to the shortlist and became subject to Global Awards rigorous internal vetting procedure. Their extensive research and judging process is driven by merit and centred around an in-depth evaluation of skills and services offered by the nominees.

We received this award in 2019. The nomination and selection process took over 3 months. During this time industry experts researched all of the nominations and analysed all supporting evidence to ensure that only the most deserving and top performing wedding photographers where recognised.

United Kingdom Photography Company of the year 2017
We received this award at the end of 2017. To win this award you must first receive a nomination. Once the nomination has been confirmed a panel of Judges look at all aspects of the business before making a decision. This process takes several months before a decision is made. This was an exciting award for us to receive not only because it was one of the first we won, but also because they chose us from all of the photographers in the U.K, not just Northern Ireland.
While receiving awards is a nice feeling, we have purposely never gone down the route of entering competitions etc. to try and win one. Many of those type of awards involves making a payment to a company to enter and there is then a voting process run on social media. For those type of awards the winners can be those who are willing to spend the most amount of money on advertising rather than receiving an award because they are the best at what they do.
For us the most important award is the feedback we get from our clients. We have been lucky enough to receive many thank you cards, emails, calls and messages from clients thanking us for the work we have done for them.
