Lough Erne Resort Wedding | Síle + Gary
Nestled among scenic landscapes and peaceful waters, Lough Erne Resort created the perfect backdrop for Síle and Gary’s wedding day on the 1st of May. It’s one of those places that immediately feels special. Imagine endless greenery, calm lakes, and elegant surroundings all wrapped together like a beautifully tied gift.
The venue offered both luxury and natural charm, creating a balance that suited the couple perfectly. Whether guests looked toward the lake or admired the golf course, every view felt postcard worthy.

We arrived a little bit early for this one so we could have a quick look around before meeting Síle for getting ready. This was the first time we have photographed a wedding at Lough Erne Resort. As luck would have it we bumped into an excited Gary while we were checking out some of the beautiful spaces around the resort. So, we were able to say a quick hello before heading of to meet up with Síle.
It was a really calm morning, Síle had everything organised and sitting ready for us, everyone was ready in plenty of time and there wasn’t the usual last minute push to get ready for the ceremony. A lovely relaxed morning with few glasses of bubbly and great conversation. One of the great things about photographing the bride getting ready is the insight it brings. We learned so much about Síle and Gary from the chats we had with Síle during the morning, which really helped the rest of the day knit together nicely. Initially Síle wasn’t keen on having getting ready photos, but we are glad she changed her mind.
What could be more romantic than saying “I do” outdoors? Síle and Gary chose an outdoor wedding ceremony, surrounded by fresh air and beautiful views. The sunshine shined brightly overhead while the wind occasionally swept through, adding movement to dresses, flowers, and even a few happy tears. Every couple brings their own personality into a wedding, and Síle and Gary were no different. Their style struck a lovely balance between elegance and comfort. Nothing felt forced or overly formal. Instead, the day reflected who they were joyful, relaxed, and deeply connected.

Now for one of the most exciting parts of the day, the golf cart journey around the golf course for photographs. Instead of staying in one place, Síle and Gary embraced adventure. Travelling around the rolling greens on a golf cart added a playful and memorable touch to their wedding experience.
We have had some awesome transport at weddings, including even a helicopter, but flying around a golf course in a golf buggy was more fun than we had thought it could be. The golf cart wasn’t just transport, it became part of the story. Every stop offered fresh opportunities for photographs, from dramatic landscapes to intimate quiet corners. Every stop felt like another little adventure together.
A wedding isn’t only about the couple, it’s also about the people celebrating with them too. Photos completed we had to reluctantly part ways with our golf buggy and return to the rest of the guests who were all having a great time enjoying a few drinks and the sunshine.
Síle and Gary’s wedding proved that sometimes the most beautiful days are the ones filled with natural moments. Bright sunshine, a little wind, an outdoor ceremony, and playful golf cart adventures around the golf course came together to create a wonderful day.
