Dani + Ben's Intimate Wedding at Belfast City Hall
Dani and Ben celebrated their love in a beautiful intimate ceremony on the 24th of May at City Hall Registry Office, situated in the vibrant heart of Belfast City Centre. The historic surroundings added a touch of elegance to their special day, creating unforgettable moments. We are wedding photographers in Belfast so we have photographed lots of weddings at Belfast City Hall.
While of course we cherish the chance to photograph grand wedding celebrations in breath-taking locations throughout Northern Ireland, we also have a deep affection for intimate micro weddings. So, we have eagerly waited for Dani and Ben’s wedding for a while. A micro wedding for us generally means that we will get to spend more than the usual amount of time with the bride and groom, which we always love.

Ben arrived at Belfast City Hall first, greeted by the bustling scene that unfolded before him. The air was alive with the comings and goings of visitors drawn in by the allure of the continental market and the chatter of various tour groups.
Amidst the lively chaos, Ben navigated his way through the crowd, eager to marry beautiful Dani and accompanied by his Granda who was also Ben’s best man on the day. While Ben was dressed to impress, his Granda was giving off distinct Sean Connery Bond vibes.
This may have been one of the earliest wedding ceremonies we have photographed with the ceremony starting at 11 a.m. Just as eager as Ben, Dani arrived exactly on time, which is always a nice surprise. It was a pretty fast ceremony and in no time at all the guys were being congratulated by their closest family who shared the day with them.

After the ceremony, not that it really mattered to our bride and groom, but it is probably fair to say that things didn’t go exactly to plan. The guys would have liked some photos outside the front of City Hall, but of course on arrival realised it wasn’t possible due to the continental market being in full swing. They also would have liked some stuff shot around Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter but on arriving there lots of unexpected works were taking place. We were however able to grab a few minutes in the Dark Horse, were Ben had every groom’s dream come true and his new wife on their wedding day, poured him the perfect pint of Guinness from behind the bar.
Dani and Ben laughed of those minor disappointments and we made our way over to Belfast’s Botanic Gardens. You couldn’t even make it up, but on arriving here lots of areas were sealed off for American country singer Brett Young’s concert. Luckily this is somewhere we know really well so it was easy avoid the concert and still find some beautiful areas to work in. On arriving our bride and groom popped some bubbly stuff and made a bit of a mess, before we went for a walk around this iconic Belfast location. While things may not have went exactly to plan this was a day filed with fun, laughter and joy, exactly what we have come to expect from an intimate micro wedding in Belfast.
