The Four Trees Moira Wedding | Lauren + Linzi

Lauren & Linzi were married on the 26th of November with both their wedding ceremony and their wedding reception taking place at The Stillhouse Moira.

The Stillhouse Moira was formally known as The Fourtrees after the four 200-year-old lime trees in the middle of Main Street in Moira. The venue has recently reverted back to its original name again. Back in the day it was equally known as a good place for a quiet drink and a bite to eat or for a big night out. We had a few messy nights out there ourselves.

These girls planned their wedding day within a very short space of time and did a great job. They wanted a stress free, very relaxed, chilled out wedding day. They also wanted to keep everything as intimate as possible and to spend lots of time with their family and friends. They fell in love with the rustic vibe The Stillhouse in Moira provides straight away. This was our first visit to this venue for a wedding. To be honest, we weren’t even aware that they catered for weddings here until Lauren & Linzi got in touch with us.

Linzi arrived at the venue first and was swiftly whisked away to the bar out of sight so that the girls didn’t run into each other before the ceremony, although they shouldn’t have worried as Lauren ended up arriving a little bit late. Linzi didn’t seem to have any pre wedding nerves at all and spent the time before the ceremony chilling out in the bar. Lauren however told us that she went into full wedding panic mode as soon as the wedding car arrived to pick her up, but she just seemed excited by the time she reached us. The girls both arrived at the venue in a beautiful white traditional style wedding car.

The original plan had been for us to make our way over to Moira Demesne after the ceremony for the girls couple’s portraits but unfortunately with storm Arwen becoming increasingly aggressive, Lauren & Linzi decided they preferred to have their photographs taken in the courtyard at the venue instead.

It wasn’t the worst weather we have seen at a wedding but it wasn’t too far off. It started with 70mph winds and heavy rain as well as being bitterly cold. Before the end of the day, we also had sleet, hailstones and even a little bit of snow. For many couples weather like this on their wedding day would have had a big impact on them being able to enjoy the day, not these girls though. The girls reacted in the best way possible and shrugged it all off as just one of those things. They didn’t allow the bad weather to stop them from enjoying their wedding day with their family and friends at all.
