Tullyglass Hotel Wedding | Chloe + Connor

Chloe & Connor got married on the 5th of March with both their wedding ceremony and their wedding reception taking place at the Tullyglass Hotel in Ballymena. Little did we know at the time, but this would be the last wedding we would be able to photograph for some time due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This wedding is a good reminder though of happier times to come as this was a day filled with love, laughter and happiness.

On the morning of the wedding we met up with Chloe, her mum and her sister at her favourite salon the Upper Cut in Broughshane. Her grandparents and her new mother in law also stopped in to say a quick hello ion the way past. After Chloe’s hair was finished, we headed over to the Tullyglass Hotel to finish of getting ready. Chloe was pretty chilled out all morning even though there was a lot to do. Along with doing her own make up she also found time to sort out her and her bridesmaid’s flowers for the day before getting dressed for the ceremony herself. Connor and the rest of the boys arrived not long after to finish of getting a few things ready for the reception and ceremony room.

We have photographed quite a few weddings at the Tullyglass Hotel so it is somewhere we know really well. This venue, as well as being able to host both the ceremony and reception has its own dedicated area for photographs which makes it a good choice for couples who don’t want the hassle of lots of travelling around on their wedding day.

After Chloe and Connor had said their I do’s we whisked them away for their bride and groom portraits. The last time we photographed a wedding at Tullyglass there was another wedding there on the same day, so we had to share our time on the hotel grounds with the other wedding. For Chloe & Connor’s wedding though we had the whole place to ourselves, which was nice. Chloe was a bit concerned about the weather on the lead up to the wedding and had been keeping a close eye to the forecast but on the day the weather was pretty much perfect. Once their session was finished, we gathered the bridal party and Chloe & Connor’s family for a few more photos before heading back inside.

Everyone then had a little time to chill out before being called into the room for the speeches. The speeches were great. Connor’s brother instead of a tradional speech and straight from the musical Oliver put on his top hat and serenaded Chloe with “consider yourself part of the family”. Chloe also said a few words herself before Connor’s mum gifted Chloe a Mortar board hat and certificate of her graduation from Connor’s girlfriend to her daughter in law.

After dinner with there still being a little bit of available light, we grabbed Chloe & Connor for another quick photo session before the first dance. Andrew from Down Discos got all of the guests up to surround the dance floor before the first dance which we think is always a sign of a good wedding D.J and everyone seemed to be having a really good time as we were leaving.
