Tullyglass Hotel Wedding | Aisling + Charles
Aisling and Charles were married on the 25th of June at the beautiful Tullyglass Hotel in Ballymena, where they held both their wedding ceremony and reception. The entire celebration took place at this charming venue, providing a perfect and convenient setting for their special day.
As well as holding both the ceremony and the reception at the venue, to ensure everything on the day ran as smoothly and hassle-free as possible, Aisling and the rest of the girls prepared and got ready at Tullyglass on the morning of the wedding, having stayed there the night before. We have photographed numerous weddings at Tullyglass, including the bridal party getting ready there beforehand, but this was the first time we had the opportunity to capture prep in the residents' area, and it was absolutely fabulous.
Charles and Aisling’s lovely daughter Aria, who had the special role of flower girl on the day, also got ready alongside the rest of the ladies. There was craic a plenty, with laughter and joyful chatter filling the room. Everyone was in high spirits, eagerly anticipating the wonderful day ahead.

Charles and the boys arrived a little later in the day, just as excited and full of anticipation for the celebrations ahead as the girls had been earlier that morning. The ceremony took place in the elegant Clock Tower Suite, providing a beautiful and timeless setting for the special moment.
These guys opted for a Humanist wedding ceremony which included a sand ceremony so that Aria could get involved as well. A sand ceremony involves the couple or family members pouring different coloured sand into a single container, symbolising the merging of individual lives or families into a unified whole. The sand, once mixed, cannot be separated, representing the permanence and unity of the bond created. Gail, the celebrant on the day, did an excellent job thoughtfully explaining how Aisling and Charles first met and beautifully shared the story of their journey together leading up to their wedding day.
Wedding photography at the Tullyglass Hotel
After the ceremony, we set off for a walk around the beautiful hotel grounds with Aisling and Charles, while their guests enjoyed being drawn by the caricature artist and the retro arcade machines the guys had booked for entertainment. Fortunately, their wedding was the only one scheduled at the hotel that day, which meant we had the entire venue completely to ourselves, allowing for a relaxed and uninterrupted photo session. Tullyglass Hotel has lots of different areas that can be used for wedding photography and because Aisling and Charles had the place all to themselves it meant we didn’t have to travel anywhere else.
After we finished up Charles and Aisling’s portraits it took a little bit longer than expected to find the rest of the bridal party but they arrived eventually and although a bit of a rush we got everything Aisling and Charles wanted before we had to head back inside for the speeches.
After dinner, Aisling and Charles kindly gave us a few more precious minutes to capture some additional portraits before we all headed back inside to for the first dance.
