Larchfield Estate Wedding: Elisha and Tomas' Unforgettable Celebration of Love
Elisha and Tomas got married on the 29th of July at St.Peter’s Cathedral in Belfast. Their wedding reception took place at Larchfield Estate in Lisburn.
On the lead up to the wedding we knew we were in for a great day, having chatted to Elisha a few times we knew that her and Tomas were very much a chilled-out couple that just wanted to make the most out of enjoying their wedding day and that proved to be the case. This wedding was right up there with the most fun weddings we have photographed.
On the morning of the wedding, we met up with Elisha to photograph the girls getting ready. It was a busy morning and breakfast was superb! In no time at all it seemed, it was time to leave for the ceremony and we met up with Tomas at St.Peter’s Cathedral.
The cathedral is steeped in history and while Tomas and Elisha’s priest was quite strict around what we could photograph and when we could take photograph’s we were still able to capture some of the cathedrals amazing architecture while photographing the wedding ceremony. It isn’t uncommon with religious ceremonies in particular for the officiant to put certain rules in place for photographers and videographers. This blog post covers that in a little more detail. Wedding restrictions during the ceremony
Tomas cracked a joke during the ceremony that had everyone in stitches. He also got a little misty eyed as Elisha came up the aisle, much to Elisha’s amusement. Her reaction when she seen him was priceless.

After the ceremony we made our way down the road to Larchfield Estate in Lisburn. This is one of our favourite wedding venues and never disappoints. The grounds here are epic for photography and with so many different areas to use you are pretty much spoiled for choice. The separate area at the private lake which is only for use by the bride and groom means that couples have privacy to enjoy the bride and groom portraits without any distractions. Elisha and Tomas as expected were great fun to spend time with.
Back in the main gardens we met up with the bridal party and the guy’s family for a few more photos before everyone headed for the courtyard to chill out before the speeches and dinner. We want to give a special mention to the caterers on the day, Bobbys Catering Events. The food on the day was absolutely spectacular, without a doubt the best food we have ever had at a wedding, and with it being a buffet there was choices to suit everyone, which is exactly what Elisha and Tomas had wanted. Unfortunately, the guys that run Bobby’s are moving to Ibiza so this may have been one of the last big weddings they catered for.

After dinner we got a little more time with Elisha and Tomas in the Orangery before the proper party got started. Not long after we found Elisha dancing on a table in the rain and soon after joined by her mum. These guys know how to enjoy themselves!
The guys were having such a good time they wanted to do their first dance outside in the court yard even though it was raining pretty heavily by then. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible so we ended up back inside instead. After the first dance Elisha shared a dance with her brother before being joined by both her mum and her granny, Tomas at the same time shared an emotional moment on the dance floor with his mum and dad.
The place then exploded, we have never seen a dancefloor fill up so fast. It was one of those weddings where we wished we could have just ditched our cameras and partied along with everyone else!
