Photographers who know Larchfield inside out

Larchfield Estate is one of the finest wedding venues in Northern Ireland and one of our favourite places to spend a wedding day. We have been here in every season, at every time of day, in every space the estate has to offer. That kind of familiarity changes everything about how we work on your day.

We know where the light falls in the walled garden and exactly when to bring you there. We know the private lake area is reserved for the two of you alone and we plan around it every time. We know how the barn looks as the evening light fades and what the courtyard gives us on an overcast morning.

The result is a wedding gallery that makes full use of everything Larchfield has to offer, without you having to think about any of it. To see more of what we do here, have a look at our Larchfield Estate weddings page.

We are on the official recommended photographer list at Larchfield Estate.

Photography at Larchfield Estate

Every corner of Larchfield, captured

Larchfield Estate gives us more variety in a single venue than almost anywhere else in Northern Ireland. Here are the locations we use on your wedding day and why each one matters.

Location 01

The Walled Garden and Lake

The private walled garden and lake area is reserved exclusively for the bride and groom on the wedding day. It is the most intimate and beautiful spot on the estate and we always set aside dedicated time here. The lake gives us stunning reflections, the garden gives us structure and the whole area gives you complete privacy while we create some of the most memorable portraits of your day.

Location 02

The Orangery

Built in 2015, the Orangery is a beautifully light and airy space that sits at the entry point to the estate. It photographs brilliantly at any time of day. The natural light that pours through the glass makes it one of our favourite spots for relaxed, natural portraits, particularly in the softer morning hours before the ceremony.

Location 03

The Cobbled Courtyard

The historic cobbled courtyard is full of character and works beautifully in every weather and every season. Stone walls, archways and period architecture give every image a timeless quality. It is also a natural gathering point during the drinks reception which means we capture plenty of relaxed, candid moments here without anyone feeling posed.

Location 04

The Woodland Paths

The woodland surrounding the estate is one of Larchfield's best kept secrets for photography. Dappled light through the trees in summer, golden tones in autumn and a moody atmospheric quality in winter. For couples who want portraits that feel a little more natural and adventurous, the woodland paths give us something completely different to the formal garden and courtyard areas.

Real weddings at Larchfield Estate

See our work at Larchfield

Every wedding at Larchfield Estate is completely unique. Some couples marry outdoors in the walled garden, others in the Orangery or the barn, and the Northern Irish weather has a say in all of them. These are nine days we photographed here, from a humanist ceremony in the walled garden to an Orangery wedding and a day in the barn.

We chose them so you can see how we work. Each one is a full day, with the getting ready, the ceremony, the portraits around the estate and the party in the evening, all edited in the same natural, true to life style. Click any photo to see the whole day.

Every season

Spring blossom, long summer evenings, autumn colour and winter light. We have photographed Larchfield all year round, so we know how the estate changes and where it looks its best in each season.

Every kind of ceremony

Outdoors in the walled garden, in the Orangery, a humanist ceremony or a day based around the barn. We plan your photography around the space you choose and the way you want the day to feel.

Every kind of weather

Larchfield works in the rain too. The Orangery, the barn and the cobbled courtyard give us plenty of options, and some of our favourite Larchfield images were taken on grey days.

What our couples say

Kind words from Larchfield couples

What couples who got married at Larchfield Estate say about having us photograph their day.

From the very start Tommy and Laurene put us at ease and their shared expertise shone through. The day itself they effortlessly blended in at the brides house for bridal prep, putting everyone at ease and capturing special moments. At the venue they worked seamlessly together, a true team with the amazing ability of making everyone around them so comfortable. They paid such special attention to us as a couple and ensured we had so many special private moments as new husband and wife, for which we will be forever grateful. Having received our photos we are blown away, they are stunning and captured the true essence of the day including all the laughter.

Tommy and Laurene were great from start to finish. The prep info they discussed with us before the big day meant that everything was set up for them to just get on with taking photos in the background whilst the bridal party were getting ready. Tommy and Laurene then met us at the venue and were very flexible despite the day not running to plan timing wise. We love our photos so much. Thanks to you both.

Frequently asked questions

Your Larchfield questions answered

The things couples ask us most about photography at Larchfield Estate. If yours is not here, send us a message or have a look at our wedding FAQ.

Are you a recommended photographer at Larchfield Estate?

Yes. We are on the official recommended photographer list at Larchfield Estate. The venue knows and trusts our work, and that means we know the estate exceptionally well. We have photographed weddings there across every season and in every space the venue has to offer.

What is the best time of year for a Larchfield Estate wedding?

Larchfield is genuinely beautiful in every season. Summer gives you long golden evenings and the gardens in full bloom. Autumn brings incredible warm tones across the woodland and grounds. Spring is fresh and full of colour. Even winter has its own magic with a moody, atmospheric quality to the estate. We have loved photographing Larchfield in every month of the year.

Do you know the best spots for photos at Larchfield?

Absolutely. The private walled garden and lake, the cobbled courtyard, the Orangery and the woodland paths are all locations we plan around and know well. We also know how the light changes across the estate throughout the day which means we always get you to the right spot at the right time without you having to think about it.

How far in advance should we book?

Larchfield is one of the most popular wedding venues in Northern Ireland and our availability at peak dates fills up quickly. We would recommend getting in touch as soon as you have your Larchfield date confirmed. For summer Saturdays this is often 12 to 18 months in advance. The sooner you get in touch the better chance we have of holding your date.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day at Larchfield?

We have photographed Larchfield weddings in every kind of Northern Irish weather and we are well prepared for it. The barn, the Orangery, the cobbled courtyard and the covered areas around the estate all work brilliantly even in poor weather. Soft overcast light is actually wonderful for portraits and some of our favourite Larchfield images have been taken on grey days.

Can we get ready at Larchfield Estate on the morning of our wedding?

Yes and we love when couples do this. Getting ready in the on site cottages at Larchfield means we can capture both of you in the same beautiful surroundings from the very start of the day. It makes for a much more cohesive gallery and removes the stress of travelling to the venue on the morning.

Can we bring our dog to our Larchfield wedding?

Yes. Larchfield Estate is pet friendly and we absolutely love capturing dogs on wedding days. Some of our favourite Larchfield moments have involved a couple's dog joining them for portraits in the walled garden. Just let us know in advance so we can plan the day around it.
