Northern Ireland Wedding Photography - Belfast Loughshore Hotel & Carrickfergus Castle

I remember many months ago going to visit Philip and Violet to discuss their wedding day. It was obvious straight away that they were a fun young couple who were both excited about their big day and as a Belfast Photographer so were we.

Philip and Violet had decided to have a fabulous Loughshore Hotel Wedding formerly known as The Clarion in Carrickfergus, with a little excursion to Carrickfergus Castle for their group photographs. This was an extra special wedding for the Loughshore Hotel as it was the very first ever wedding in the brand new Loughview Suite. These are some of our favourite images from the day.

We started the morning of by shooting the Bridal prep in Violets room at the hotel.

Violets room soon became a bee hive of activity as her bridesmaids, make up artist and hairstylist all arrived and started to get to work.

We then went for a quick visit to see how Philip and the rest of the boys were getting on.

Then it was back down to Violet's room to see the ladies all ready.

We then left everyone to the final preparations while we went to the Loughview Suite to prepare for the ceremony.

The room was beautifully decorated by Bernie at Over the Moon Wedding & Event Stylists and fitted perfectly with Philip and Violet's Cadburys theme.

Not nervous at all. Ha! Ha!

After the ceremony we made our way to Carrickfergus Castle. The weather was not in our favour but the Castle made for an atmospheric backdrop.

We were greeted with a full marching band while leaving the Castle, many stopped to give Philip and Violet a wave.

Then it was back to the Loughshore Hotel for the speeches, cutting of the cake and the first dance.

All the younger guests had a great time on the dance floor.

So did Violet & Philip.

It wasn't too long before everyone else was joining in.

We would both like to thank Philip & Violet not only for choosing us to photograph there wedding, but also for allowing us to be such a big part of there day.
