Ballymagarvey Village Wedding | Taragh + Tyler

Taragh & Tyler’s wedding on the 8th of November was full of love, laughter, and that amazing energy that only comes when two people who truly belong together say “I do.” From the emotional first look, to the beautiful ceremony and then to the packed dance floor, every moment just felt right. The perfect mix of elegance, emotion, and good times.

Ballymagarvey Village was the perfect setting for the day. This venue suits couples who want charm, comfort, and a sense of place. The venue blends restored stone buildings with well-kept grounds, giving each part of the day a distinct backdrop. Taragh and Tyler chose it for its warm atmosphere and the balance between privacy and openness. The estate’s courtyard welcomes guests with soft lighting and textured stone. This space sets the tone before anyone steps into the main rooms. Inside the decor feels refined but not formal, creating a relaxed flow from morning to night. This was our first visit to this beautiful Irish wedding venue.

Taragh got ready on the morning of the wedding from Ballymagarvey and with 5 bridesmaids and both her mum and Tyler’s mum there as well the place was a hive of activity all morning. The Barn was the room used for getting ready and it is absolutely huge, so although their was lots of people there was also lots of room. Tyler and the boys got ready from The Coach House and had plenty of time for a bit of craic and a few beers before the most important parts of the day.

With it being November and the ceremony scheduled for such a late time in the day, Taragh and Tyler decided to do a first look. This special moment gave them the chance to calm their nerves and share some intimate time together before the ceremony. Additionally, this choice allowed us to capture some beautiful photographs of them ahead of the ceremony, as available natural light was expected to be quite limited afterwards. The groom and bride also used their first look as a private opportunity to exchange personal vows away from the eyes of their friends and family. It was a truly beautiful and heartfelt moment shared between the two of them.

The ceremony took place in the Mill Loft. Taragh and Tyler chose to have a humanist ceremony which was simple and sincere. They focused on personal words, meaningful readings, and a smooth flow between each moment. They also included a traditional handfasting and warming of the rings. The room’s atmosphere supported this tone, making the vows feel close and genuine. As they exchanged rings, friends and family watched closely, their eyes filled with joy, creating a warm and heartfelt energy that radiated throughout the entire room. Then, as they shared their first kiss as a married couple, their guests erupted in wild and enthusiastic celebration, filling the space with laughter, cheers, and happiness. After the ceremony, guests moved to The Manor House, while the bride and groom took a few minutes together. This brief pause allowed them to enjoy the moment before meeting back up with us again.

We met up with everyone again at the front of the Manor House and with day quickly turning into night we made the most of the available light to capture some beautiful portraits of our newly married couple. Inside The Manor House there was plenty of time for Taragh and Tyler to enjoy mingling with their guests and cut their wedding cake, before making their way back down to The Banqueting Hall for the speeches and the start of their wedding reception.

After the speeches and dinner, we had lift off and the atmosphere went from soulful romance to full on party mode. The party started with a table dash. Then there was Karaoke, one guest in particular was absolutely brilliant! Then their was a few party games and at one point their was even a Conga Line. The best part though, was seeing Taragh’s face light up with surprise and delight when her bridesmaids suddenly disappeared from sight, only to make a spectacular and unforgettable entrance dressed as the Spice Girls.

We knew from chatting with Taragh and Tyler before the wedding that they were both feeling a little nervous about their first dance, most couples do, and we hear this a lot. To ease their nerves around the first dance, they kept it short and sweet before inviting their family and friends to join them on the dance floor. Having got to know this crowd over the day, we have no doubt they partied hard into the early hours of the morning,
