Beech Hill Country House Wedding: Sarah and Gerard's Unforgettable Celebration of Love

Sarah and Gerard's wedding at Beech Hill Country House on the 6th of August was a day filled with love and joy.

Everything on the day took place at Beech Hill, right from Sarah and the girls getting ready, Gerard rocking up to the venue in a Ferrari, all the way through to the first dance This meant that the guys avoided any stress on their wedding timeline travelling around different locations and made for a very chilled out wedding day.

This was our first wedding at Beech Hill Country House and what an incredible venue it is! The grounds around the venue are packed full of photo opportunities and the area used for outdoor wedding ceremonies is just spectacular. The staff were also great on the day as well. It is easy to see why Beech Hill Country House is so highly regarded as being one of Northern Ireland’s best wedding venues.

While Gerard is a local and Sarah hails from Manchester, these guys live in Dubai. We photograph lots of weddings and elopements for couples travelling into Northern Ireland to celebrate their big day here, and are always impressed at how they manage to pull of such amazing wedding days while living so far away and all the extra challenges that brings to planning their weddings. Sarah and Gerard absolutely nailed it!

The ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by the majestic forest. The lush greenery and tranquil ambiance created a dreamlike setting for Sarah and Gerard to exchange their vows. Photographing a wedding in the middle of a forest has been on our bucket list since we first started photographing weddings. We have come close a few times before but the weather always scuppered the opportunity to tick that of our list. Sarah and Gerard didn’t get the best weather either but they were determined to have that magical forest experience and thankfully for the most part the rain stayed away during the ceremony. Even if there had of been more rain during the ceremony am not sure anyone would have noticed as everyone was mesmerised by what was happening in front of them.

The guys ended up falling pretty lucky with the weather all day. There was just about enough time to shoot their portraits and to grab some photos with their family and friends before the rain hit harder.

The reception was held inside the marquee at Beech Hill. Everyone was so excited to see the guy’s step through the door and to start celebrating. Sarah and Gerard had guests not only from the local area but from Manchester and even some friends from their time in Dubai there to spend the day with them. Everyone was very friendly and warm and they were a fun crowd to spend the day with.

Before dinner the guys did their speeches, Gerard rocked his even though he did no preparation at all and just winged it. Instead of a speech Sarah’s Granda sang beautifully.

After dinner we would have loved to have got some more time with the guys to further explore the grounds around the venue. With so many of their family and friends there that they haven’t seen in a long time the guys opted to use this time to have some photos with them instead, which is always time well spent.

Back inside the venue the guys hit up the dance floor with Stevie & the G’s providing the music.
