Drenagh Estate Wedding: Sarah and Christian's Timeless Celebration of Love

Sarah and Christian tied the knot on the 3rd of August, at the stunning Drenagh Estate in Limavady. It was the picture-perfect location for both their wedding ceremony and reception on their special day.

We were excited to hear when we spoke to the guys before their wedding that they are pregnant and with a new baby arriving sometime in December, they have all the wedding excitement and extending their new family to look forward to as well.

Before the ceremony began, Sarah, her bridesmaids and her mum pampered themselves at local hair and beauty salon, Syenna Hair & Beauty. Christian’s mum popped in for a little while as well. The girls were full of excitement for the day ahead. As a special treat one of Sarah’s bridesmaids used the facilities at the salon to style Sarah’s hair. The girls finished off getting ready for the wedding ceremony at Drenagh.

As the ceremony started, everyone gathered in the beautiful moon garden at Drenagh. The ambiance was magical, with flowers in full bloom and a soft breeze rustling through the trees. It was the ideal setting for Sarah and Christian to exchange their wedding vows and start their journey together as husband and wife.

Unfortunately, it rained for large parts of the day but we were able to avoid the worst of it. But rain on a wedding day is said to be good luck, and it certainly didn't dampen the spirits of this happy couple. They embraced the unexpected weather graciously, knowing that true love shines brighter than any raindrops.

After the ceremony we all headed for shelter from the rain in the main Drenagh House. It has become a bit of a thing for couples who get married at Drenagh to immediately after the ceremony walk down the stairs in the main hall to be greeted by their family and friends and to then cut their wedding cake with the Drenagh sword. So, this is what Sarah and Christian did as well.

The rain eventually cleared to allow a bit of time for some portraits with Sarah and Christian although it didn’t stop for too long. After their portraits Sarah and Christian took a bit of time to chill out before shooting some stuff with their family and friends.

Sarah and Christian chose to have their speeches after dinner which we haven’t seen in a long time at a wedding. There was a lot of speeches for this one, all were heartfelt and funny. With so many speakers, it was probably a good shout to have everyone fed and watered beforehand. During the speeches it was mentioned how the very first message Christian sent Sarah when they first matched on Tinder was. “Would you like to get married?”. A couple of years later and they now have!

After the speeches everyone headed back out into the main hall for the first dance. Sarah and Christian picked the perfect wedding band in The Liberals to ensure that all of their family and friends had a great night partying!

Sarah and Christian's wedding at Drengah Estate was a testament to love's perseverance, even in the face of a little rain. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and moments that will be treasured for a lifetime.
