Carriage Rooms at Montalto Estate Wedding | Jessica + David

Jessica and David got married on the 27th of July with both their ceremony and reception taking place at the Carriage Rooms at Montalto Estate in Ballynahinch.

Jessica & David first met when they were students at Queen’s University in Belfast but didn’t get together until they both ended up working for the same employer. When David got down on one knee to propose it must have come as a surprise to Jessica because at first, she thought he had dropped something on the floor.

On the morning of the wedding we met up with Jessica and her bridesmaids at her and David’s home in Rathfriland. As you would expect everyone was very excited for the day ahead. Jessica is originally from Yorkshire and her Mum Carol made sure everyone’s cup was constantly kept filled with Yorkshire Tea throughout the morning.

Once everyone was ready, we made our way over to The Carriage Rooms to meet up with David. What an amazing wedding venue this is! This was our first visit to the Carriage Rooms and we were blown away by just how beautiful it is. Jessica & David had planned on having an outdoor ceremony, although there was some concern that due to the weather that it might not be able to happen. So, we were really happy for them both when it turned out that all was going to plan. We love outdoor ceremonies, we had one ourselves.

After the ceremony which was beautiful, we headed off with Jessica & David around the amazing grounds around the venue. Jessica & David got caught up chatting with their guests so by this point their timeline was running a fair bit behind. For some couples the timeline going off plan could have caused them to feel a bit under pressure but not for these guys, both Jessica & David are very laid back and dealt with it perfectly. Although there was a bit of time pressure, we were able to visit most of the locations around Montalto Estate we had planned too and they were both really good fun to photograph. Once back at the Carriage Rooms we grabbed a few bridal party and family photos before the call for the speeches.

The speeches themselves all went well but we have to give a special mention to Jessica’s Mum Carol, who wrote and read out a special poem for the day. Jessica’s Mum & Dad live in the Isle of Man and Carol has a regular spot on the local radio station as Mrs. Yorkshire – The Baking Bard.

After dinner we finished of our bride and groom session with Jessica & David, the guests had the chance to throw some confetti and we photographed Jessica throwing her bouquet which was caught by a very excited bridesmaid.

Jessica loves dancing so for the first dance her and David performed a pre-planned routine and after a quick dance with the bridal party and her Dad, Newry Dance and Cheer Company performed.
