Clandeboye Lodge Hotel Wedding: Laura and Andy's Unforgettable Day

Laura and Andy where married on the 28th of February. Both their wedding ceremony and their reception was held at the Clandeboye Lodge Hotel in Bangor.

We first met Laura and Andy when we photographed their engagement session at Crawfordsburn Country Park a while back. The engagement session served as a rehearsal for their wedding, as we went back to Crawfordsburn on the day of the wedding to shoot their portraits.

Laura and her lovely bridesmaids had stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding, so we met up with them in their hotel room, early morning to photograph everyone getting ready. It was a stress free, fun morning with plenty of laughs and giggles. We also had enough time to grab a few quick photos of Andy and his groomsmen before the ceremony.

There was no sign of any pre-wedding nerves from either Laura and Andy on the lead up to the wedding ceremony at Clandeboye Lodge, Andy got a little emotional as he seen Laura walk down the aisle. Unknown to Andy, although we think everyone else knew, including us, Laura had arranged to play a little prank on Andy in the middle of the ceremony. Both Laura and Andy like ourselves love dogs, they even went to Crufts for their honeymoon. Laura arranged for Andy’s best man to pretend that he had forgotten the wedding rings, so that they could be brought down the aisle by a gorgeous little Spaniel. To be fair to Andy he took the missing wedding rings well even when he thought they were missing for real and he loved the surprise ringbearer Laura had arranged for him.

After the ceremony we made our way over to Crawfordsburn Country Park for their bride and groom portraits. Conditions on the day weren’t ideal, there was a little bit of rain and it was freezing cold but it meant that we mostly had the place to ourselves, which was nice. Laura and Andy where both really good fun and we were able to revisit some of the areas they liked from their engagement session.

Once back at the hotel we shot some stuff with the bridal party and grabbed a few family photos. We got everything Laura and Andy wanted as quickly as we could so that the speeches and dinner all happened on time. During the speeches Laura presented her dad with a signed and framed Glentoran shirt which he seemed absolutely delighted with.

After dinner the guys had their first dance and Laura also hit up the dance floor for an emotional dance with her Dad before the dance floor filled up.
