Lagan Valley Island Wedding: Lyndsey and Kris's Beautiful Celebration
Lyndsey & Kris got married on the 4th of May, with both their wedding ceremony and reception taking place at Lisburn’s Lagan Valley Island. Lisburn is our home town, so we always enjoy working here.
On the morning of the wedding we met up with Lyndsey and her bridesmaids to photograph everyone getting ready. When we arrived at the door, we knew we where at the right place as we could here the laughter from outside.
Most weddings, don’t go off without a hitch of some sort and these girls as it turned out had what would be a nightmare scenario for a lot of brides and bridesmaids when it turned out that there was an issue with the alterations done to the bridesmaid’s dresses. This meant the girls had to race down to a local bridal shop, before we had arrived to buy new dresses. For a lot of brides something like this could have made the morning difficult but Lyndsey is so laid back and so well supported by all of her girlies that they didn’t let it spoil the morning of the wedding at all.

Once everyone was nearly ready, we left for Lagan Valley Island to meet up with Kris, who unlike most groom’s was excited rather than nervous. The ceremony itself was a short one, which is what Kris & Lyndsey had wanted. After the ceremony, along with the bridal party we made our way over to Lisburn Castle Garden’s. Most couples that get married at Lagan Valley Island use the Castle Gardens for their wedding photographs as it’s so close by and it always works well. This was a really fun crowd to work with as you can see from the photographs.

Once back at Lagan Valley Island it was time for the speeches, dinner, the cutting of the cake and the first dance. Lyndsey and Kris had brought in D.J Dave Ralston for their wedding entertainment. Rather than just playing tunes, Dave does an awesome job of getting all the wedding guests involved and enjoying themselves. He even handed of the mic to one of the guests before the first dance for a bit of impromptu karaoke. Instead of the tradional first dance, Dave had all the guests crowd the dancefloor before introducing Kris & Lyndsey who shared the dance floor with their kids. They walked into the room to Ed Sheeran but it quickly cut to hardcore dance music, which was perfect for these guys as all they wanted to do was party and enjoy themselves.
