When we first started our wedding photography journey if you had asked us if there is any difference in photographing a wedding for an older couple, compared to a younger couple, we would have said no. While for us our job remains the same, to capture the emotion of the day, there can be some subtle differences.
For example with a more mature couple it is more likely that they may have been married before, they may have adult children or their grandchildren with them on the wedding day as well. This may mean they require more family photos or photos with larger groups of people.
Often mature couples will include their grown up kids in the planning process especially if they have recently got married themselves as while the meaning behind a wedding has never changed the actual wedding day and wedding photography has changed a lot even in the last 10 years.
