Danielle and Ian were married on the 22nd of August at the stunning Killeavy Castle Estate in Newry. The couple chose this beautiful and historic location for both their wedding ceremony and reception, enjoying the luxury and charm the venue has to offer throughout their special day.

To help ensure a completely stress-free morning, Danielle and the rest of the ladies chose to stay overnight at Killeavy Castle the night before the wedding. It was there, in the beautiful surroundings of the venue, that we met up with them to capture all the special moments of getting ready on the morning of the big day. As you would expect, the ladies were all filled with excitement and anticipation for the wonderful day ahead. We had great craic with them, enjoying every moment as everyone came together and got ready.

Ian and the boys arrived a little later in the morning, just as excited and full of anticipation as the girls, all eagerly ready to celebrate the special day and for Ian to get married. The setting for the ceremony was absolutely beautiful and took place outdoors, right at the grand entrance to Killeavy Castle, creating a stunning and memorable backdrop for the special occasion. With the castle at one end and scenic views on the other it was spectacular. There is always something extra special about an outdoor wedding ceremony, we got married outdoors ourselves.

Danielle and Ian chose to have a Humanist wedding ceremony, and their celebrant Laura did an amazing job of keeping the ceremony relaxed, chilled, and full of laughs throughout. The ceremony was the perfect mix of high end luxury, heartfelt moments and lots of giggles. After saying their wedding vows the guys also literally tied the knot in a traditional handfasting ceremony.

After the ceremony, we set off with Danielle and Ian to explore the stunning and expansive grounds surrounding the Killeavy Castle. This was our very first time visiting this beautiful wedding venue, and it did not disappoint in any way. Danielle and Ian were an absolute joy to work with, making the entire experience both fun and memorable.

Portraits completed, we were able to capture some photos with the entire bridal party as well as with Danielle and Ian’s close family members. We made sure to get everything finished up efficiently, allowing Danielle and Ian to have some well deserved time to relax and unwind before the speeches began.

After dinner, we had the opportunity to spend another 10 minutes with Danielle and Ian before making our way back inside to join the lively party. The guys decided to do a wedding photo rush before the dancing which was hilarious as you will see from the photos. After a very short first dance, Danielle shared a heartfelt and memorable dance with her Dad, creating a special moment between them. Meanwhile, Ian enjoyed a dance with his Mum, cherishing the time spent together on such an important day. This was followed up by two of their younger guests treating them to some traditional Irish dancing, before everyone else joined them on the dance floor.
