A castle estate with mountain views
Killeavy Castle Estate sits just outside Newry in County Armagh. It has a beautifully restored castle, woodland walks, a spa and a modern pavilion, with views towards Slieve Gullion and the Mourne Mountains.
It feels secluded without being remote. You can marry outdoors in the walled garden, or choose an indoor ceremony if the weather turns, and your guests can stay over on the estate. We have eaten there too, and the food is as good as everyone says.

- The countryside setting means guests without cars may need taxis or shared transport, so think about how older or international guests will get there.
- There is an indoor ceremony option, but it does not have the same wow factor as the walled garden.
- Some outdoor areas can get muddy after heavy rain, so pack a spare pair of shoes for your portraits.
