La Mon Hotel and Country Club Wedding | Susan + Jonathan

Susan and Jonathan got married on the 22nd of August at Drumbo Church with their wedding reception taking place at the La Mon Hotel & Country Club in Comber.

Susan and Jonathan first met when they both applied for the same job at Coca-Cola, there was only one position available and after being impressed by them both the manager that interviewed them couldn’t choose between them, so offered them both the opportunity of a job share. Later on, down the line they got the opportunity to work together. It wasn’t until Susan had left to pursue a career elsewhere that they both realised how much they missed each other and got together.

On the morning of the wedding Susan and her bridesmaids got ready from her Mum and Dad’s home in Lisburn. Susan said she felt a little nervous but she seemed more excited than nervous to us. Everything went according to plan and everyone was ready in good time.

After leaving Susan we headed off to Drumbo Church to meet up with Jonathan and his groomsmen before the ceremony. We also got the chance to have a quick chat with the minister for the day who was very accommodating and give us free reign to move around the church as we wanted, which doesn’t happen often. Susan and Jonathan also got to sign the register on a table that had been donated to the church back in 1989 by Susan’s family.

After the ceremony we met up with everyone again at Sir. Thomas and Lady Dixon Park in Belfast. We photographed the bridal party and grabbed a few family photos before getting to spend some time with Susan and Jonathan for their bride and groom’s portrait session. The weather on the day wasn’t great and it rained on and off for a lot of the day but we had just enough time to get everything we needed. As we were leaving it was absolutely pouring down.

On arriving at the La Mon Hotel Susan and Jonathan had a little time to chat with their guests while we caught up with Rory one of the managers at the hotel. As we have mentioned on our blog before we got married at the La Mon ourselves and just like for Susan and Jonathan’s big day it was Rory who looked after us on our wedding day.

After the speeches, dinner and the cutting of the cake we grabbed a few quick photos of Susan and Jonathan in the hotel grounds before heading back inside for the first dance.
