La Mon Hotel Wedding | Chantelle + Thomas
Chantelle & Thomas got married on the 18th of September with both the marriage ceremony and the wedding reception taking place at the La Mon Hotel & Country Club in Castlereagh.
As we have mentioned here many times before on our blog, we got married at the La Mon Hotel ourselves so it is always a venue we look forward to returning too. Chantelle & Thomas wanted a fun laid back wedding day without the hassles of worrying about travelling around on the day. So, to make things easier still Chantelle and her bridesmaids stayed at La Mon Hotel the night before the wedding and got ready there on the morning off.
The girls were all in great form right when we arrived and lots of laughs were had all morning. Chantelle told us that the wedding advice on our blog really helped her with her wedding planning journey and she picked loads of tips for her own wedding right here.
Once the girls were nearly ready, we nipped downstairs to say a quick hello to Thomas when he arrived. While Chantelle hadn’t showed any signs of wedding day nerves all morning poor Thomas looked absolutely shell shocked. Although we have noticed a lot, that grooms tend to be more nervous on the wedding morning than brides, so this didn’t really come as a surprise.

Chantelle & Thomas opted to have a humanist wedding ceremony which was performed by Stewart Holden who always does a great job of sharing engaging stories about the couple so there was plenty of laughs and emotional moments throughout.
After the ceremony we had a little bit of alone time with Chantelle & Thomas who were both absolute superstars even in the high sun which meant us having to hunt for better lighting around the grounds at the venue. After that we grabbed some photos with the bridal party and some photos of the guys with their family and friends. Chantelle had everything planned perfectly so they still had plenty of chill out time before having to head back inside for the speeches.

After dinner we got another chance to have a little bit of alone time with Chantelle & Thomas and while walking around the grounds at La Mon we showed them a few of our own wedding photographs that had been taken there. Chantelle & Thomas insisted on recreating one of them which had us all in fits of laughter. In case you are wondering which one it was, it is the last photo shown here before we headed back inside.
Back inside the venue it was time for the first dance. As a special wedding day surprise for Chantelle, Thomas had arranged for Britain’s got Talent finalist Jordan O’Keefe to perform the music for the first dance. Chantelle is a huge fan having first met Jordan when he presented her with young carer of the year award. She absolutely loved her surprise, well done Thomas!
