Millbrook Lodge Wedding | Lauren + Aaron
Lauren and Aaron celebrated their love with a beautiful wedding on the 11th of May. The ceremony was held at High Street Methodist Church in Lurgan, where they exchanged heartfelt vows surrounded by family and friends. The festivities continued at the elegant Millbrook Lodge in Ballynahinch.
Lauren and her team of bridesmaids, consisting of her closest friends and family members, joyfully prepared for the big day at her childhood home in Lurgan. The girls all had an early start for hair and make-up on the big day, eager to pamper themselves and get ready for the celebrations ahead. They chatted excitedly as the stylists worked their magic, transforming each one into a vision of beauty. Lauren was taken aback and felt a rush of emotions as she carefully read the heartfelt message that accompanied the beautiful bouquet of flowers lovingly sent by Aaron.
The religious part of their union was incredibly significant to Lauren and Aaron, guiding their decision to exchange vows in the sacred setting of their cherished local church. Embracing their faith and beliefs, they found profound meaning and joy in celebrating their love within the walls of their church. When we arrived at the church to meet Aaron, the groom-to-be was a bundle of nerves. Lauren's punctuality not only helped calm his nerves but also set a reassuring tone for the ceremony as she arrived early, ensuring everything was ready ahead of time.
Wedding photography at the Millbrook Lodge
It was a much shorter journey to Millbrook Lodge than we had first thought, so everyone arrived at the venue in good time. It is always fun to be a wedding photographer in Ballynahinch. Despite the scorching heat on that particular day, being the hottest of the year so far, we were grateful for the lush greenery that provided some relief as we strolled around the grounds with Lauren and Aaron, actively seeking out shaded spots to cool off. While we captured beautiful portraits with the newlyweds, the bridal party and guests enjoyed a delightful afternoon in the gardens, playing garden games and getting their caricatures done by the talented artist arranged by Lauren and Aaron.
After finishing our bride and groom's portraits, we regrouped with the bridal party to capture some moments with them, as well as with Lauren and Aaron's family. The joy and camaraderie among everyone was there for everyone to see, a genuinely lovely bunch of people. After a bit of time to chill out and relax everyone was called inside for the speeches. There was two surprises, firstly Lauren made an unexpected speech ans she had also secretly arranged a singing waiter to perfom as a present for Aaron. The singing waiters always seem to be a hit with guests, bringing a unique and enjoyable entertainment element to the weddings we photograph. Their performances add a special touch to the celebrations, creating fun and memorable moments that couples and their loved ones cherish.

After dinner and while the D.J was setting up, we convinced Lauren and Aaron to spare us an extra 10 minutes for some more portraits. This extension allowed us to utilise an area we really like at this venue, which had been unusable becuase of the harsh sunlight earlier in the day. We are so glad they agreed, as we absolutely love the stunning images we were able to capture in this picturesque setting.
Back inside the venue, the ambiance was set for our lovely bride and groom to gracefully make their way to the center of the dance floor, surrounded by beaming guests eagerly awaiting their first dance together. This touching moment was quickly followed up with Lauren and her dad sharing the dancefloor, for the traditional father/daughter dance.
