Clandeboye Lodge Wedding | Hannah + Steven

On the 16th of June, Hannah and Steven joyously exchanged their vows and celebrated their union with a memorable wedding reception at the beautiful Clandeboye Lodge in Bangor, Co. Down.

To ensure a stress-free wedding day, both Hannah and Steven opted to stay overnight at the tranquil Clandeboye Lodge. This thoughtful decision allowed them to wake up rejuvenated and saved them from any hassles with traveling to the venue on the morning of their special day. So on the morning of the wedding Hannah excitedly got ready with her bridesmaids and her Mum from the hotel, while Steven and their son Ezra got ready in another room at the other side of the hotel.

Hannah and Steven chose to cherish a special moment by opting for a romantic first look, followed by a brief visit to the bar for a baby Guinness, adding a touch of relaxation and joy to their journey towards the altar.

During the ceremony, Hannah and Steven gracefully lit the unity candles together. Their celebrant Gary, in his usual charming way, prompted them to seal their love not just with one, but with two loving kisses, much to the delight of their family and friends. Little Ezra was the ringbearer on the day.

After the heartfelt ceremony, our groom and his bride emerged from saying “I do” to be greeted by a shower of confetti lovingly tossed in the air by the joyful gathering of their beloved family and friends.

Hannah and Steven expressed their desire to remain in close proximity to the venue throughout the day to ensure they could be near their son, Ezra. However, immediately following the ceremony, dark rain clouds gathered, and a torrential downpour engulfed Clandeboye Lodge in sheets of heavy rain.

With no sort of coverage from the rain being available at Clandeboye Lodge, we suggested heading off to the walled gardens at Bangor Castle, which is only a few miles down the road. Knowing that the small dense forest would offer some shelter from the rain, we took the opportunity to capture beautiful portraits of Hannah and Steven amidst the tranquil surroundings.

We would have loved to have spent a bit more time with the guys in the stunning gardens as we only got to explore a fraction if it, but the guys understandably wanted to keep our time here short so that they could return to Ezra and their family and friends. Once back at the venue Hannah and Steven spent a bit of quality time with their guests until the rain eased off and we were able to shoot some stuff with the bridal party.

While the rain made occasional appearances throughout the day, it never intensified to a point where it caused any further disruptions. This allowed us ample time to capture beautiful moments with the bridal party and Hannah and Steven’s family, before everyone was called inside for the speeches and dinner.
