Glamour at Galgorm: Sharon and Dan's Stunning Wedding Celebration
Sharon & Dan got married on the 4th of June with the ceremony taking place at Newmills Church in Portadown and their wedding reception taking place at Galgorm Resort & Spa in Ballymena.
We were glad to see these guys have their big day at last after a few postponements. We first met Sharon & Dan face to face when we photographed their North Coast Engagement Session back in December. It has been a difficult road to finally getting to their wedding day as well as multiple postponements they have had long periods of time apart with Dan living in the U.S.A and Sharon working off shore. You couldn’t meet a friendlier couple so we were very pleased for them both.
We met up with Sharon at her Mum and Dad’s home on the morning of the wedding. Sharon was her usual bubbly self and there was plenty of laughs all morning. We met up with Dan when he arrived at the church. Sharon arrived at the church in an absolutely beautiful horse drawn carriage. The first time we have had one of these at one of our weddings and this one was special.
After the ceremony the guys stepped out of the church straight into confetti thrown by their family and friends before jumping back into the carriage to go back to Sharon’s Mum and Dad’s where they switched transport to Galgorm’s Rolls Royce to transport them to the venue.

Galgorm can often be a busy place and it was extremely busy on this particular day, we seen several other wedding parties and even a couple of groups of ladies out enjoying their hen nights. We were able to avoid them all though as walked around the grounds for Sharon & Dan’s bride and groom portraits. The high strong sun was harder to avoid though so we decided to cut short our time with Sharon & Dan until later in the evening when the sun wasn’t so strong.
Wedding Photos at Galgorm Resort & Spa
Back inside the four seasons suite at Galgorm it was time for the speeches, everyone spoke well and Sharon said a few heartfelt words herself. Dinner was absolutely amazing!
After dinner we headed back out again to shoot some more stuff with Sharon & Dan, the sun hadn’t dropped as much as we had hoped but we were able to visit some of the areas we hadn’t be able to earlier in the day and made use of the strong sun to shoot some nice backlit stuff, which we always love. As soon as we got back, it was time for the guys to hit the dancefloor for their first dance.
While Sharon & Dan had to wait longer than they would have both liked for their big day, it was so worth it in the end. Everything about their wedding day was perfect.
