La Mon Hotel Wedding | Laura + Steven

Laura and Steven got married on the 26th of May with both their wedding ceremony and reception taking place at La Mon Hotel in Belfast.

These guys wanted to keep their wedding low key and stress free so this was always going to be a relaxed wedding day. Laura and Steven both stayed at the hotel the night before so as they could ready from the hotel and avoid any wedding morning hassle.

We arrived just as Laura was finishing up with the hotels hair stylist and met up with her bridesmaids in their hotel room. The morning skipped past so fast as the girls had their make-up done and finished of getting ready. Later on in the morning, we managed to nip down for a quick chat and some photos with Steven and his best man.

While it was a very chilled out wedding day nobody gets married without feeling a little nervous before the ceremony and both Laura and Steven looked a little shell shocked before heading in to say their vows. These guys opted for a humanist wedding ceremony and their celebrant Trevor Molloy told the funny story about how they first met. They met online but it was only after chatting for a while that they realised that not only do they both have the same employer but that Steven had actually trained Laura for her job as well. Steven says the first thing he did when he realised was check Laura’s feedback form for the training he had delivered!

Being wedding photographers in Belfast and with La Mon being such a popular wedding venue we have visited many worked here many times before, so know what to expect. After the ceremony we went for walk around the grounds at the hotel. From, our calls and emails etc. Leading up to this wedding we already knew that we were going to have a wonderful day with these two! They are both so laid back and friendly and just a genuinely lovely couple.

On getting back to the hotel we shot some stuff with their family and friends and the guys then had a good bit of quality time with their guests before heading inside for the speeches. It was a roasting hot day so it took a bit of time for the staff at the hotel to persuade everyone to go inside.

After dinner we grabbed another 10 minutes or so with the guys in the hotel grounds. If you read our blog regularly you will already know that we got married at La Mon ourselves and when we are here working, for a giggle we like to re-create a photo that our wedding photographer took here. Laura and Steven did it perfectly!

Back inside the hotel again, it was time for a quick first dance, before the bridal party and then everyone else hit up the dancefloor.
