Orange Tree House Wedding | Emma + Gareth
Love was in the crisp winter air on the 2nd of December as family and friends gathered at the enchanting Orange Tree House in Greyabbey to celebrate the union of Emma and Gareth. The picturesque setting, adorned with twinkling lights and seasonal decorations, provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was nothing short of magical. Both the ceremony and reception took place at Orange Tree House.
Emma and Gareth first met when they both worked in hospitality. Gareth having had lots of experience working at weddings as part of his job was heavily involved in the planning process for their wedding, making Emma’s job much easier.
On the morning of the wedding, we met up with Emma and the girls at an Airbnb they had booked in Greybbey for getting ready. The girls were great craic all morning and within minutes we knew we were in for a fun filled wedding day. Once everyone was nearly ready, we made our way over to the venue to meet up with the Gareth and the boys.

After a few quick photos, the boys made their way to the bar for a quick pre-ceremony pint of Guinness and to await everyone’s arrival. Nestled on the shores of Strangford Lough, Orange Tree House proved to be an idyllic choice for Emma and Gareth's special day. The rustic charm of the venue, coupled with its warm and inviting ambiance, set the stage for a celebration filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments. We have worked at this venue so many times before, but it’s always one we look forward to visiting again and again.
The winter theme was elegantly woven into every detail of the wedding. The colour palette of deep green, and touches of gold added a touch of sophistication, while seasonal flowers and greenery adorned the venue, creating a festive and cosy atmosphere. Emma & Gareth’s decision to embrace the winter season added a unique and memorable element to their special day.
The couple exchanged their vows in a heartfelt Humanist wedding ceremony that brought lots of laughter and tears of joy to the eyes of many. Emma, radiant in her winter-inspired gown, walked down the aisle to meet Gareth, who looked cool as ice in his suit. The intimate gathering of close friends and family created an atmosphere of love and support, making the ceremony a truly emotional and memorable affair. The guys also included a sand ceremony and the drinking of the Quaich.

After a quick glass of the fizzy stuff, we made the short journey to Greyabbey Monastery with the guys for their portraits. Being December, it was absolutely freezing cold but we can’t complain too much as we had expected a few showers which never made an appearance. The historic ruins at Greyabbey are an interesting place for wedding photography and a very popular choice for couples getting married at Orange Tree House.
Back at the venue we weren’t finished just yet as we gathered the bridal party and the guy’s family together for some more photos. We got finished up in time for the guys to have a bit of time chilling out with their guests before getting ready for the speeches.
