What are the advantages of Lusty Beg for a wedding?
Being a hotel wedding venue that also has luxury lodges, plenty of onsite accommodation is available and many couples that get married here arrive the day before and get ready from the venue.
Outdoor ceremonies here are beautiful and are held on the pier overlooking Lough Erne. If the weather isn’t so good on the day and indoor option is also available.
There are lots of activities available on the island to entertain your guests, including archery and clay pigeon shooting.
The venue has lots of grounds which are suitable for wedding photography which means you don’t need to travel elsewhere for photographs.
The island experience makes your wedding day feel unique.
The Island Spa offers an option for hair and make-up so that you don’t need to bring in outside vendors.
The reception room is a large space and they can cater for larger weddings.
In our experience photographing weddings here the staff are generally experienced hosting weddings and friendly.
What are the disadvantages of Lusty Beg for a wedding?
While the location is beautiful depending on where you are based it may seem a little remote and the majority of your guest may need to stay overnight at the venue.
If you have guests that aren’t staying for the night at the venue, it can be a long wait for the boat later in the evening to get back of the island late at night. On our previous visits there we had to wait for a considerable amount of time so that we could leave the island and head for home.
If you are not using local wedding vendors, you will find that a lot of vendors will charge an extra fee as they will need to account for mileage and a possible overnight stay,
