Because so much happens in one building, the day flows without long gaps, and we use the coast and the forest for variety. Here is how we usually plan it. For the full picture, read our Slieve Donard venue guide.
The front of the hotel
The red brick Victorian frontage and wide front steps make a striking backdrop for your wedding party and your first portraits. The vintage cars many couples arrive in look wonderful against it.
The hotel gardens
When the weather is kind, we use the gardens around the hotel as much as we can. They give us quiet, green frames close to your guests, so you never miss the party.
The Chandelier Room
The Chandelier Room is the indoor ceremony room if the weather turns, and we have photographed a ceremony here. Large windows and chandeliers give us lovely light for the vows and the confetti afterwards.
Tollymore Forest Park
Portraits are often best away from the hotel, so we plan travel time into the day. Tollymore Forest Park is a short drive away, with woodland paths and stone bridges for relaxed, natural photos.

Yes, it is one of our favourite spots for relaxed portraits, with woodland paths and stone bridges just outside Newcastle. You can see a Tollymore engagement session on our blog. Permission and opening times can change, so we talk it through with you in advance.
How much does a Slieve Donard wedding photographer cost?
Our collections start at £1,375 for half day coverage and go up to £2,675 for a full day with albums and an engagement session. Both of us photograph every wedding, and there is no extra travel charge for weddings within Northern Ireland. You can see exactly what is included on our pricing page.
When will we get our photographs?
Your private online gallery is delivered within six weeks of your wedding, with high resolution downloads and a print shop. If you cannot wait, our fast edit add on guarantees your photos within 10 days for an extra £400.
