Ashleigh and Brooks got married on the 29th of September at Tullyallen Church in Armagh with their wedding reception taking place at Corick House Hotel & Spa in Clogher.

Ashleigh and Brooks first met via the Young Farmers Club, although it took a bit of time for them to become a couple, Brooks says that Ashleigh was just playing hard to get.

We met up with Ashleigh on the morning of the wedding at her mum and dad’s home in Markethill. When we spoke to Ashleigh before the big day, she said that she expected to be a little nervous but we didn’t see any signs of wedding nerves in the time that we spent with her.

We met up with Brooks and the rest of the boys at the church just before the ceremony and all were in good spirits. Usually when grooms have kilts, they feel a little self-conscious but not Brooks. He told us he had worn one before when he played in a pipe band.

The church itself is quite small and was absolutely bunged to the rafters for the ceremony as all of Ashleigh and Brooks family and friends wanted to be here to share the moment with them.

It can sometimes be difficult for couples to get away after the ceremony and that proved to be the case here. Ashleigh and Brooks got caught up chatting to their guests for longer than expected, so were running quite late by the time they left.

After the ceremony we stopped off on the way to Corick House to grab a few quick photos with Ashleigh’s cows. It was pretty much the only must have wedding photos that Ashleigh asked us for.

This was our first visit to Corick House and even though we were pushed for available time we were still able to visit some of the nicer areas for Ashleigh and Brooks portraits. Ashleigh and Brooks are two very down to earth and friendly people and we really enjoyed the time we spent with them.

Once back inside the venue the guys all did their speeches, Brook’s brother who was best man on the day had everyone in stitches when he produced a riding crop and explained what it was for, everyone else did well too.

After dinner the guys decided that they wanted to use the time to spend with their family and friends which of course is understandable but meant unfortunately we didn’t get to shoot any evening portraits at this wedding.

After the first dance the rest of the dance floor filled up for a traditional ceili, which seemed to go down very well with all the guests.
