Roe Valley Resort, which many couples still know as Roe Park Resort, is a four star golf and spa resort in Limavady, part of the Galgorm Collection. You can marry in the new glass Garden Pavilion in the walled garden, in the landscaped gardens or indoors, and the resort hosts one wedding a day.
We have photographed weddings here, so we know the grounds, the rooms and how the day flows. We plan your timings around the light, the weather and the golfers, and we always agree a wet weather plan with you beforehand.

The best photo spots here change through the day because of the golf course, so the timing of your portraits matters. Here is how we usually plan it. For the full picture, read our Roe Valley Resort venue guide.
The walled garden
The new Garden Pavilion sits in the walled garden, so your ceremony and first photos can happen in the same place. The garden has a bridge over a pond, a fountain framed by flowers and tree lined paths with flower borders.
Around the resort
During the day the golf course takes up much of the grounds, so we use the areas around the resort for photos with your bridal party, family and friends. It keeps things easy for your guests too.
The golf course after dinner
Once the golfers head home, more of the course opens up. We always suggest setting aside around 15 minutes after dinner so we can explore these areas together in the evening light.
Roe Valley Country Park
Roe Valley Country Park is a short five minute drive away, and it is the spot we always suggest for your bride and groom portraits.

The golf course is out of bounds for photos while golf is being played, so we plan about 15 minutes of golf course portraits after dinner, once the course is clear.
With one wedding a day we never work around another party, so we can use the walled garden and the grounds wherever the light is best.
The indoor ceremony rooms have no natural light, so the glass Garden Pavilion is the brighter option. We plan around whichever you choose.

Do you photograph weddings at Roe Valley Resort?
Yes. We have photographed weddings here, including Catherine and Niall and Charlotte and Steven, so we know the walled garden, the grounds and the golf course well. Both of us come to every wedding, so you get two photographers for your whole day.
Is Roe Valley Resort the same as Roe Park Resort?

You can marry in the new glass Garden Pavilion in the walled garden, in the landscaped gardens or indoors. The resort has a civil ceremony licence.
How many guests can Roe Valley Resort host?
The Roe Valley Suite and Roe Valley Lounge hold up to 300 guests, the Ross Suite 110 and the Thackeray Suite 120. Numbers can change, so check the current figures with the resort when you enquire.
Is there more than one wedding a day?
No, the resort hosts one wedding a day. That means we never work around another wedding party and can use the grounds for your photographs.
Can we photograph on the golf course?
The golf course is out of bounds for photos while golf is being played. We usually plan about 15 minutes of golf course portraits after dinner, once the course is clear.
What if it rains?
We always agree a wet weather plan with you beforehand. The glass Garden Pavilion keeps you dry while still giving natural light, and we know the indoor spaces around the resort too.

How much does a Roe Valley Resort wedding photographer cost?
Our collections start at £1,375 for half day coverage and go up to £2,675 for a full day with albums and an engagement session. Both of us photograph every wedding, and there is no extra travel charge for weddings within Northern Ireland. You can see exactly what is included on our pricing page.
When will we get our photographs?
Your private online gallery is delivered within six weeks of your wedding, with high resolution downloads and a print shop. If you cannot wait, our fast edit add on guarantees your photos within 10 days for an extra £400.
