What are the advantages of the Wool Tower for a wedding?
Being an exclusive wedding venue, only one wedding a day is permitted here. With no public or membership access, the venue, the river and grounds are completely yours for the day.
All accommodation for the Wool Tower is provided by their sister company Raceview Mill, they can accommodate around 30 adults.
The room used for ceremonies is a good sized space and can seat up to 200 guests. They are also pet friendly.
Having two separate rooms for both the ceremony and the reception can make everything run much smoother on the day.
The Wool Tower has its own grounds which are suitable for wedding photography which means you don’t need to travel elsewhere.
The Wool Tower’s shabby chic vibe is great for more relaxed weddings.
In our experience photographing weddings here, the staff are generally experienced hosting weddings and friendly.
What are the disadvantages of the Wool Tower for a wedding?
Limited accommodation at the venue maybe an issue for some although there are lots of hotels etc. near by.
If you are envisioning a super high end wedding with lots of glitz and glamour this may not be the best choice of wedding venue for you, the venue lends itself much better to boho style weddings.
The location of the Wool Tower might pose logistical challenges for guests, especially those traveling from outside of the greater Ballymena area.
Lightning in the ceremony room can prove problematic for your photographer and videographer. The lighting used gives a distinct orange glow that is magnified by the bare brick walls.

This venue has lots of different areas that can be used for wedding photography, it works well for both portraits with the bride and groom and family and group photographs.
