Sophie and Bella got married at The Wool Tower in Broughshane on the 11th of September. The couple chose to host both their wedding ceremony and reception at the venue, making the day flow naturally for them and their guests.

They stayed in a local AirBnB with their closest friends, a decision that gave the start of the day a homely, personal feel. Although both of these brides got ready in the same place, the brides chose not to see each other in their dresses before the ceremony. Sophie left early for The Wool Tower to finish getting ready there, while Bella remained at the AirBnB with friends and family.

This decision created a beautiful moment of anticipation. When the two finally saw each other at the ceremony, it was all the more emotional. Choosing to spend their morning together but still keeping the dress reveal special was a unique and thoughtful approach. It shows how couples can tailor traditions to fit what feels right for them.

The ceremony was led by humanist celebrant Gemma, who told the story of how Sophie and Bella met and their journey together. Their ceremony was kept simple and personal, with a warming of the rings included but without additional traditions such as handfasting. The Wool Tower is not a polished ballroom it’s full of character. For photographers, the variety of backdrops is ideal. Whether inside with exposed beams or outside against stone walls, the venue never fails to deliver unique imagery. It’s been a little while since our last Wool Tower wedding so there was a couple of changes since our last visit, including a new ceremony space.

Sophie and Bella were fun, relaxed, and open to exploring different spots. Despite the unpredictable weather, their portraits captured their joy and connection perfectly. After portraits, Sophie and Bella reunited with their bridal party and families for more photos. A highlight was including both of their two adorable dogs

Dinner and speeches brought laughter and stories from loved ones. As the evening went on, the rain cleared again, giving us another chance to step outside for more portraits.

Later, the brides considered skipping their first dance due to nerves. But with encouragement and the cheers of their guests, they danced together to huge applause. Their first dance became a highlight of the evening, showing their love and bravery. It was a joyful moment that summed up the spirit of their day.
