Weddings in recent years have become a bit of a feeding frenzy for content from vendors. Often on the morning of a wedding you can have hair stylists, make-up artists, florists and even transport providers all there at the same time on the morning of the wedding. Many will will arrive early or stay late so that they can get photos for their socials or videos for TikTok and Instagram reels.

It has become increasingly popular for couples to bring in wedding content creators on the morning of the wedding and sometimes vendors even bring along their own. Then add your photographers and videographers and getting ready can become a very busy place.

At a recent wedding on the morning of the wedding there was ourselves, 2 x wedding videographers, and a wedding content creator. The bride had asked us to shoot a first look with her Dad and the area she wanted to use was a small one. There was just about enough room for one of us to capture the brides Dad while the other got the bride, with a bit of a tight squeeze we managed to get the videographers in, but then once you added in the content creator it was already way too much. The hair stylist, the make-up artist and the transport provider all insisted on being there as well plus 2 of the bridesmaids, making it an impossible moment to capture for anyone in the end. The brides poor Dad was completely overwhelmed with the amount of people there, for what should really have been as private a moment as possible for them both.

Our best advice if you are planning a father - daughter first look is keep the amount of people around to the absolute minimum. This should be a special moment for the bride and her Dad not an opportunity for vendors to get content. Too many people completely destroys the moment and will make you and your Dad feel very uncomfortable.
