Rachael & David got married on the 16th of September, with both the wedding ceremony and reception taking place at the Leighinmohr House Hotel in Ballymena.

Rachael just before the wedding was still in the middle of moving from her home in Bangor to her and David’s new home so because of the distances involved on the morning of the wedding she got ready from David’s sister home in Ahoghill. Everything on the morning went as planned right up until the last minute when Rachael was getting ready to leave. She realised that everyone had already left for the ceremony but they had forgotten to bring the guys button holes to the Leighinmohr. More importantly she then realised that they had also forgotten to bring her Mum. So, we delivered David and his two best men’s button holes and Rachael’s Mum to the Leighinmohr ourselves.

On arriving at the Leighinmohr Hotel, we had just enough time to grab a quick photograph with the guys before Rachael arrived. Rachael had arranged for the Minister from her home town to perform the ceremony while the minister from David’s church provided music throughout, which we thought was a nice way to bring everyone together.

After the ceremony along with Rachael and David we left for Antrim Castle Gardens for their bride and groom portraits. We really like the gardens here for wedding photography and have visited many times before so it was a great choice from Rachael and David.

Once back at the hotel we made use of the Leighinmohr’s own dedicated wedding photography area to grab a few bridal party and family photos before heading back inside for the speeches. Both of David’s brothers were best men on the day and both of their speeches were hilarious.

After the speeches and dinner everyone hit up the dancefloor with the music provided by Rachael & David’s wedding band Freefall.
