2023 Best Of | Wedding Photographer Northern Ireland
2023 was another busy year for us, which of course we are very grateful for! You will never hear us complain about being busy. As the old saying goes, “if you do something you love, you will never work a day in your life.”
We invested in a new client management system at the start of the year to make it easier for our couples to book with us and to streamline the whole process. We also invested in a new online client image delivery system to make it easier for clients to receive their images quicker. Both have worked very well thankfully and justified the costs.
As is often the case we started the year with a few smaller weddings. Our first big wedding of the year for 2023 was at Orange Tree House in Greyabbey, coincidentally our last wedding of the year was at this venue as well.
Best Northern Ireland Wedding Photography 2023
We love visiting venues we haven’t worked at before but there wasn’t many of those in 2023, as we have pretty much ticked off every wedding venue in Northern Ireland now. Although a stand out for us was the wedding we photographed at Beech Hill Country House. It has always been on our bucket list to photograph a wedding ceremony in the middle of a forest and this venue is pretty amazing and has gone straight on our list of favourite wedding venues!
We did get to visit lots of our favourite venues though including Larchfield Estate, Old Court Wedding Company, Lissanoure Castle and Tullyveery House just to name a few.
We spent lots of great days working on the Causeway Coast this year more than any other year that we can remember, with lots of elopements and engagement sessions being shot there in 2023.
2023 Best Northern Ireland wedding photos
We started the year with a bit of a bang when we found out that we had been awarded Wedding Photographer of the year for County Antrim at the 2023 Northern Ireland wedding awards. This was a huge surprise for us, as we didn’t even know that someone had nominated us. As it turned out they had been in touch with us a few times but their emails had hit our spam box. The local papers ran a feature on the award win as well, which while embarrassing us a bit, our mums absolutely loved!
In September, we found out that we had also won another award for Best Wedding Photography team in Northern Ireland in the 2023 Small Business Awards. We also found out in October that we have been nominated again in the Northern Ireland wedding awards and have been chosen as a finalist, so we will keep our fingers crossed for that one as well.
Throughout the year we had photographs featured by some online wedding blogs which is also always a nice feeling as well. While in the grand scheme of things winning some awards doesn’t really mean anything, it’s always nice to know that all the hard work we put into every wedding day is appreciated by others.
2024 Northern Ireland Wedding Photography
We are going to have a big anniversary to celebrate this year. On the 3rd of March 2024 we will have been officially photographing weddings together as a husband and wife team for 10 years! We think that’s a hell of an achievement especially when you consider we sort of fell into photographing weddings accidentally. We have been so lucky to be able to do what we love for such a long period of time.
We have said this many times before but we owe all of the success we have had to the couples that chose us to photograph their weddings and who continue to recommend us to their family and friends. We still get recommendations from couples whose weddings we photographed in our very first year and we think that is pretty special. Thank you so much!
Like every year 2024 will bring a whole new set of couples into the Pure Photo N.I family. We can’t wait to document one of the best days of your lives and meet all your family and friends!
