2024 Best Of | Wedding Photographer Northern Ireland
2024 was truly an epic year for weddings, every single one of them was filled with fun, love and exhilarating moments for us to witness and photograph. Last year, we finished off the year at Orange Tree House, and coincidentally, that is also where we signed off for the year of 2024 as well. The wedding season, which typically runs from May to September, was probably the busiest one that we can remember, overflowing with memorable celebrations and great craic.
We are constantly striving to enhance the overall experience we provide to our wonderful couples. This year, with all the dedicated work we have put in behind the scenes in recent years to refine and elevate our processes, is when we truly felt it all came together seamlessly.
Best Northern Ireland Wedding Photography 2024
There was a proper international flavour with our couples this year. We have always been lucky enough to book a lot of weddings for couples coming in from overseas and with elopements as well we meet a lot of couples from other countries. In 2024 we had more than ever!
We had brides and grooms flying in from as far away as Canada, the U.S.A, and even Australia. While, of course, we truly love a good local wedding with its familiar customs and traditions, it’s always particularly interesting and enriching to experience the diverse wedding traditions from other countries. Each wedding tells a unique story, reflecting the couple's heritage and personal touches, making every celebration special in its own way.
While it is always a pleasure to see something unique and different in front of our cameras, just like every dedicated wedding photographer, we have our favourite venues that we particularly enjoy working at. It was truly wonderful to have the opportunity to work at beautiful locations like Larchfield Estate, The Old Court Wedding Company, and Orange Tree House again, just to name a few highlights. Additionally, we had the joy of photographing a few weddings at the La Mon Hotel, which, being the very venue we exchanged our own vows in, evokes a flood of cherished memories for us every single time we visit.
2024 Best Northern Ireland wedding photos
In the middle of the year, we received the exciting news that we had won an award for being recognised as the best candid photographers in Northern Ireland. While in the grand scheme of things, awards may not mean an awful lot, it is still incredibly nice to receive some form of recognition for our hard work and dedication to capturing beautiful moments.
From a personal point of view its been a bit of a hectic year for us as well with our eldest turning 18 and making us feel very old and then passing her driving test at the first attempt, providing a proud parent moment. We also at the start of the year got a new very hyperactive puppy who is now very much part of our family. We have been showing off photos of Hope our staffy at every wedding we have been too.
In March this year we officially celebrated working together as a husband and wife wedding photography team for 10 years! For us this was a really special moment, they say that most wedding photography businesses fail in the first year. We have read lots of articles about how after a few years a lot of wedding photographers fall out of love with the work and try something else. Here we are though, about to go into our 11th year and still loving every minute.
2025 Northern Ireland Wedding Photography
We can’t wait to kick off our exciting 2025 wedding season and get the chance to meet all the lovely couples who have already booked us for the year ahead. It’s always a joy to connect with new couples and hear their unique love stories.
We are excited that some of our 2025 bookings are for a few venues we haven’t had the pleasure of working at before. This prospect is always thrilling and something we eagerly look forward to. Additionally, we will have the wonderful opportunity to revisit some of our favourite venues, which never fails to bring us joy and inspiration. We look forward to seeing you all in 2025!
